Endocrinology

Which system regulates the transmission of the different messages in the body?? Maybe many of us thought that it is the Nervous system, the one which transmits signals to the different parts of the body in order to convey the information. Not only the Nervous system but also the Endocrine system, both plays an active role in the transmission of different information throughout the body. The two regulatory  carries information differently, the Nervous system carries the messages by means of nerve networks while the Endocrine system conveys information by means of specialized cells in the ductless glands that produces chemical regulators known as hormones.

Endocrinology is the study of hormones and the endocrine system which comprises of the different ductless glands which secretes hormones. There are different types of hormones released into the bloodstream to the target tissue or organ in order to elicit specific response. It also involves the diagnosis and treatment of the different disorders related to the Endocrine system.
